Assessment & Analytics

@Kevin Phillips (Unlicensed)

The Assessment and Analytics committee met and Natalya Magazino demonstrated how to create dashboards and prompts while reviewing the CSU+ Dashboard. Progress was made on creating new reports to reflect Rapido borrowing/lending both physical items and articles. We will be meeting with the RSFC on 10/26 to collaborate and discuss the Rapido Dashboard.

Discovery

@Ian Chan (Unlicensed)

  1. From Hannah Lee, on behalf of Primo VE testing group: Testing group met to discuss workflow and expectations. We’ve created a template to work off from and will fine-tune using the next Primo VE release in November as the first test; spreadsheet of updates can be VIEWABLE (not editable) on the Discovery homepage.

  2. We are wrapping up the Primo VE Evaluation Survey on October 21 and the committee will discuss October 28.

  3. A Primo VE issues form is now available for reporting issues that appear to affect more than one campus.

  4. A call sent out by Keven Jeffery, on behalf of DFC: The ULMS Discovery Committee is looking to compile a list of OneSearch user interface, user experience, or other discovery related studies undertaken across the CSU. If you have done a study, are doing a study, or are planning a study we'd like to know about it. Our plan is to compile a list of studies on confluence for future reference.

  • Wiley restoring 1,379 textbooks removed from Ebook Central; access will end June 2023

  • DOAB book chapters removed

  • Adam Matthew URLS updated to https

  • Editing permissions have been granted, and work has begun on updating the ERM Wiki

  • Chris Lee has contacted us requesting a note be added to electronic holdings for RAPID ILL.  We need clarification as to why this is necessary.  The groups initial response is no

  • Workshopping solutions/workarounds to the display issues exacerbated by implementation of Rapido

  4. Group asked if I could check with Brandon on whether we can help advocate for an NZ manager in the CO to help fill some of the gap left by Israel

  5. Nerissa is testing the use of a new ALMA enhancement allowing for secondary resource types - not promising but we may ask discovery group to consult

  6. There was a question about Keeping the 655 e-books tag on local records - OCLC is doing a project to remove - we wanted to check with ERM and Discovery groups to see if there is any usefulness they can see - also, Nerissa would like to present at TS open forum
