Ex Libris negotiations Update

@John Wenzler

Ex Libris notified us that we are using more “named users” and bib records than allowed for in the contract. Brandon reviewed their numbers (see file above) and thinks that we can remove the extra named users w/o hindering library operations.

Action Items

  • Brandon will share instructions about removing excess users with the ULMS primary contact list; John will forward to the library deans

  • Goal is to review and remove excess users by Friday, June 19.

1:45-2:00

Primo VE

@David Walker @brandon dudley (Unlicensed)

We will test Primo VE over the summer. Everyone encouraged to attend the webinar:

Going from Primo to Primo VE: The New Self-Switch Process

Tuesday, June 23⋅8:00 – 9:00am

2:00-2:30

CSU+ Restart

@John Wenzler

Some CSU Libraries want to re-start CSU+ in July; others will not be ready in July. Does it make sense to restart for a small number of campuses? The RS Chairs expressed concerns about user experience with CSU+ if there are a limited number of participants.

Action Item

John will schedule a meeting with Brandon, Joe, Adriana, Natalya, & Jamie to discuss the details.

Decision

The Steering Committee approves, the Resource Sharing Committee’s proposal to extent the CSU+ loan period to 16 weeks. John will share with COLD for final approval.

Additional Topics

@Jamie Lamberti (Unlicensed) @John Wenzler

The Fulfillment Committee has discussed the possibility of centralized purchasing of meescan, Luxor lockers, or the centralized etextbook purchases.

Action Item

John will bring this proposal to COLD.
