1:00-1:30 | Updates | All | Israel -Authority task force is hard at work on draft recommendations. Should be submitted by April 30. Brian -last meeting was more of a check-in. People are focusing local Dolly -working on the CDI migration. Brandon has been helping move things forward. Will be submitting work to Ex Libris next month Discovery -Andrew reported that they activated the new get it menu locally. They have been looking at the CDI migration. VPN with Primo Back Office has been an issue. Joe - resource sharing has been working on settings and policies. CSU+ is not taking any time up. Documenting responsibilities of members so that new members can integrate smoothly. They are doing some work to clean up confluence as well. Brandon said that COLD is discussing giving students the ability to check books into their nearest campus instead of their home campus. Joe said this should not be an issue and is not an operational challenge. Grad checks should not be an issue regarding graduation holds. Fulfillment -for course reserves, fulfillment is recommending using redshelf. Check Fullerton to see how this looks ERM group -CDI is going to be more problematic than anticipated. Moving from PCI to CDI. Currently, we have more control and can display what we want. It works differently in CDI, you must opt out of showing stuff instead of opting in. EL’s solutions for some of the anticipated problems are lacking. We want control over what is in the IZ. It will be better eventually, it is just going to be different for a bit. Brandon -Contract negotiations are ongoing between EL and the CO. It is early days, so not much to report now. COLD Update -not much. Don’t expect big changes to EL stuff. RapidILL was talked about, but things like Leganto and Esploro are probably off the table this year. I-SPIE will make sure that ILL employees are notified about the RapidILL option

1:30-1:45 | 20/21 functional committees | @brandon dudley (Unlicensed) | Brandon: Chairs should start working on getting ready for the hand off to the new chair In the past, chairs have helped the steering committee find new vice-chairs. We are sticking with that model this year. Recruitment will start in May and June. ERM and Acquisitions were split, which made it so that there will be a lot of vacancies. They are trying to get some folks to commit for another year. As in the past, COLD will be told to recommend people to fill the open slots, but please share the openings widely with potentially qualified people.

1:45-2:00 | Summer Meeting – CSU/RUG | @brandon dudley (Unlicensed) | Eluna is cancelled, so there is a bit of a void on the calendar Brandon is interested in developing a California RUG conference (he is chair). This would be virtual. Asked the group if this should replace the CSU meeting or should be in addition to? Group was more supportive of the RUG option. CSU would be good if it could be in person, because of the social aspect, but that isn’t possible now. Virtual conferences can be set up over multiple days instead of on one full day. We could consider this as an option. June might be a good timeline. Brandon will seek support from COLD

2:00-2:30 | COVID-19 Adjustments | All | Fullerton shared that the external location was changed for physical items to read Temporarily Unavailable. Asked what others were doing Fullerton also wanted to create a scope that just displays our ebooks. Discovery said they would look into the issue. Dolly asked if we could remove the one-user checkout option for some of our ebooks. You can globally turn off the ability to download books in ebsco. EB has turned that off. Andrew will consult with Dolly on that.
