This will be on the agenda for next month's ULMS steering committee meeting.
It may not need to go through COLD.
Damaged Books for Resource Sharing standards
The draft of recommendations by the task force is basically done.
Next steps:
Natasha will email this document to the rest of FFC for feedback.
Isabel from the resource sharing committee has sent it to their group for feedback as well.
Reserve Analytics Update
Any metrics Mallory and Matthew came up with seemed to prove what we already know rather than what don’t know.
They’re looking at metrics for what would be considered a “successful” course reserves area and have created a document for measuring metrics.
Next steps: making sure they’re talking to people who handle reserves and provide useful feedback on this document
A discussion group will be created with some course reserves folks to take a look at the document Mallory and Matthew are working on. Potential interested individuals: Mallory, Matthew, Kevin, Jeff Frank SJSU, Caleb CP SLO, Adrian SDSU,
Mallory suggests sending out a list of questions to these folks ahead of this meeting
Potential questions to ask CR folks: what do you think makes your course reserves successful? How would you like to see it improve?
Also could pull from our course reserves survey questions in the team drive under Student Success Ideas.
What's going well? What's making you crazy?
Mallory: Kevin asked why does their campus have a thesis that is checked out and why does it have a csu+ link instead of an ILLiad link. It has not been solved yet but they are working on a solution.
