Steering Committee Update



  • Chris gave a presentation about joining SUNY in a CSU+ type of resource sharing. The SUNY libraries would be added as a separate rota after CSUs and before ILLiad. John will bring the proposal to COLD. If approved, 4-6 libraries will be included in a test with 4 of the SUNY libraries.

  • Natalya proposed entering into a reciprocal agreement with the UC libraries.The idea was to contact each library individually. John will bring this proposal to COLD to see if we can contact the UC system as a whole.

  • Looking into possible ways to add more UC Unity stops.

  • There will not be a ULMS summer meeting this year due to the number of online conferences. We are encouraged to attend the eCAUG presentations.

  • ERM will meet next with ExLibris.

  • We will let Brandon know when we have our information and he will start contacting ExLibris. 

  • Review teams work

  • Main issues:

    • Streamline multiple pickup locations. Something like a drop down box where patrons can pick their pickup location. 

    • Allow patrons to select which of their addresses on file they want the materials sent to when shipping materials to the patron through Personal Delivery. Add a place for patrons to add a new address. 

    • More configurable fields in Alma. 

    • Many tickets found on slow Alma and Primo. 

    • Result orders when searching a book don’t match between Alma and Primo

    • Issues with searching with partial titles, alternate spelling, misspelling. 

    • Temporary Location, want items to revert to their last location when checked in, even if it is a temporary location. Currently this takes a lot of staff time.
