Discussion Topics

Campus Updates / Announcements

  • Welcome Chris!

Steering Committee Update

  • The CSU will be evaluating Primo VE in Spring 2021, with a potential Go Live in Summer 2021. A task force has been created to provide formal evaluation and testing. All employees will be able to do informal testing, and will have a mechanism for providing feedback. VE will run alongside our current OneSearch, so we will be able to rest requesting and Alma interactions.

  • The steering committee also discussed the survey and walk-in patrons (see below).

Fulfillment Wiki Reorganization

(see wiki)

(see structure)

  • Reviewed the updates thus far and organization for Chris.

  • Jamie is still in the process of updating the wiki.

  • Kari will break out the Winter 2017 Closure Guide into separate sections so they can be posted separately.

ULMS Survey & Email

(see draft email & survey questions)

  • Brandon would like the FFC to report on the top 5 issues.

  • We will send an email to the Access Services list asking for information.

  • Proposed timeline:

    • Jamie will send the email by Friday, October 16th

    • Receive feedback by Friday, October 23rd

    • Dawnelle and Jamie will review and summarize responses by Wednesday, October 28th

    • Review responses at FFC meeting on October 28th. Submit survey by Friday, October 30th.

  • Brandon will use the results to look for trends across the functional committee and staff responses. He will share a summary of the responses and compare them to last year’s responses. We can use the summary to help direct the rest of our year. The summary will also be sent to COLD and ExLibris, who will work with Brandon to address some of the issues.

CalState Walkin Patron Procedures

  • The steering committee recommends adopting the policy as is, with the caveat that each campus can choose to implement now or after COVID. John sent the recommendation to COLD.

  • Jamie will prepare documentation on how to adopt the policy.

  • FFC members can help test documentation.
