 e.       Agenda for Analytics trainings:

  1.   Operational Reports:

During this session, you will be introduced to Alma with your migrated data. Via the Alma interface, staff operators of all kinds may obtain reports and information very quickly about what is happening now in Alma. By providing these kinds of Operational Reports through the Alma User Interface, staff operators can be much more independent in obtaining information as they go about their daily work. We will examine what an operator is able to report on and view depending on the roles assigned to them. The Operational Reports session will focus on introducing a number of the reports that may be created in the Alma interface with the initial goal of helping you to evaluate your migrated data. The second, long-term goal is to help you develop successful searching and reporting strategies to enhance the daily work routine of all staff operators in Alma.

 2.        Analytics Training:

Alma Analytics provides an environment in which to create both simple and complex reports in different views, include information from two subject areas or to combine results from a sub-query. The overall focus of Analytics is to determine trends from the past and to forecast to the future. To create and modify analyses, the Designs Analytics role is required. This Analytics session will focus on introducing the Oracle Business Intelligence environment, the mechanics of running/modifying "canned" reports from those provided to all Alma libraries, along with the mechanics of creating several example reports (those that are perceived to be a value for most institutions). A number of critical “out-of-the-box” analyses will be viewed with your test load of data. After this session and at this stage in your implementation, you should have sufficient knowledge to begin creating your own analyses for the purposes of evaluating your migrated data.
