Revisit Digital Collections Development Plan

• What is the best way to integrate the suggestions from Dave and Kevin?

• Include risks, assumptions, constraints (review ULMS plan example sent to us by Dave)

• Gathering local info on digitization practices and metadata schema, best approach?

  • Will work on breaking sections down and mapping them to the ULMS document (as much as is applicable)

  • Alyssa, Steve, and Eric will collectively work on 1. Communication, 3. Assessment, 5. Workflows

Campus Self Evaluation

• Project check in, brainstorm next steps and needs

  • Over the Summer each can go through this process at their own campuses to get an idea of how long it takes, how much outreach/personnel are involved

  • Maybe shoot for a subtle launch in the Fall; Package it as a toolkit, while still gathering results

  • Planning to include those who just rolled off of the committee, DAWG committee members agreed that they could consult with evaluators

  • Still figuring out how to gather data

Digital Preservation and the DAMS

• Project check in, brainstorm next steps and needs

  • What are the potential deliverables?

    • identifying needs in the CSU around dig pres, scoping the solutions to meet those needs

    • drafting attainable guidelines

    • investigating possible systems (systems that can integrate with Hyrax, system that would run separately e.g. Archivematica testing at Sac State); determining feasibility

DAMS performance evaluation tool

Steve, Azalea

• Project check in, brainstorm next steps and needs

  • Addresses a number of over-arching activities that touch on many of the points discussed

  • Steve and Azalea are nearly finished with the final build out of the eval tool

  • To combat inconsistencies in answers Steve and Azalea created drop down menus to standardize across answers

  • Might attempt to test assessment with committee member campuses first

• What are the goals for this installation?

  • Need installation documentation from each deployment so we can test (a/b testing of sorts); document in Confluence
