Update on ERM Wiki working group

Working Group

  • Updates on progress

    • Finished reorganizing into 3 main topics (CDI, ERM, Acq)

    • Now working on updating old documentation and/or archiving pages that are no longer relevant.

TS Open Forum Licenses presentation

Kirstie

  • Next steps? Campuses have the tools they need now to start getting licenses in Alma off the ground.

  • Biggest challenge will be internal organization related to figuring on workflows and responsibilities

  • SDSU is working through the process now and is willing to share their experiences in the future once more progress is made.

ERM Office Hours

All

  • Next Office Hours: Friday Jan. 19th 10-12.

ULMS Steering Committee Update

Kirstie

  • Discuss topics to report/share with the Steering Committee about what the ERM Committee is up to.

  • Will recap the 3 topics mentioned above as well as info related to problem reporting that we will be working on soon.

ERM Problem Reporting Workflow/Contacts

Kirstie

  • Kirstie, Jessica, and Ying will meet to work on a draft for ERM problem reporting, particularly as it related to reporting issues with E-resources that are managed/licensed by the CO.

  • The draft will then be reviewed by the ERM Committee and posted on the ULMS wiki

OCLC Holdings for E-Resources

  • Question from Jill Strykowski via listserv email and Slack. All the ERM committee members are encouraged to fill out Jill’s poll.

  • What does ERM think about setting OCLC holdings for e-resources?

    • Practices continue to vary locally at each campus.

Updates on new ERM enhancements

All

  • Anything to report?

    • New POL Task List has an “evolving” bug

      • “Subscription to” date and “Renewal date” are the same date, which normally they cannot be the same date in the old POL Task List.

      • Previously you could back to the older version and the correct dates would appear.

      • Now, the incorrect date will appear in the older version. Ex Libris has escalated this case.

      • I recommend continued use of the old task list until the bug is fixed. I don’t know the ramifications of the incorrect date, if it affects something down the road.

  • The committee discussed the need for Acquisitions personnel to be part of this group again, possibly as a Task Force, to help with issues like this.

  • Jessica reached out to Christina Hennessey to see what can be done. More to come!
