Ebook public note for OER?

Is there a benefit for having an ebook public note for Open Educational Resources for NZ items? ex.
unlimited user access
Creative Commons license

Kate send out as an email discussion

CDI an NZ update from Jessica

Some campuses see Films on demand CDI records even though they don’t want to or don’t subscribe
This is one of the pathways to seeing full-text available in the results list leading to a record that says No full text available.
Jessica has to turn off CDI in the NZ for libraries that don’t subscribe to a collection -
The work is slow going
No work yet on ebook packages
Mixed journal/ebook packages are more problematic

Action items

@Austin Lenzen - report on CDI testing so that we can send out CDI NZ recommendations from 7/24 meeting
@Jessica Hartwigsen will follow up with David Walker on the SDLC coded memo tool
@Kate Holvoet (Unlicensed) will send out an email to the whole committee about the OER ebook public note issue
