Digital Archives Working Group

  • Paired up with MWG to begin exploring some data modeling for a new digital archives system.

  • DAMS self-evaluation is still being developed.

  • Begun looking at costs, staffing, vendor support, storage, and sustainability for digital archives.

  • Working on recommendation for digital preservation.

  • Looking to separate Thesis & Dissertations from Student Works

  • Doing a field-by-field review of the forms

    • Started with student work, but will continue to other types.

  • Migrated data doesn’t always line-up with current data, which causes problems

    • e.g., working on copyright and rights fields

    • Agreement page provides some basic information

    • Waiting for Elsevier for more in-depth documentation

    • Group including Melissa, Emily & Mark is administrating this on behalf of the CSU

    • potentially a McNair’s journal

    • need more infrastructure, training, before this can be realized
