Goals
Lender Check-in Action - Mallory found something interesting in the documentation about Return actions. Let's discuss the setting and the ramifications of changing it.
Confluence Update - Natalya and Karla made some changes to our Confluence space. Let's have a look at what they did and talk about it.
UCs and Unity - Mallory inquired with Esther at the CO about adding all UCs to our courier route. Esther said something like “Great idea but we need to find the money.” Currently the CO pays 100% of CSU ↔︎ UC Unity traffic. We even pay for two stops for some UCs. One idea to come up with the money is to reduce all UCs to one stop, as well as some CSUs (not enough UCs have two stops to cover all the UCs not on contract.) Lets discuss this idea further and/or other possible solutions.
I-SPIE and RSFC update to COLD - Natalya is working on a letter to COLD to update them on what our community of practice is up too. Basically it is an update from the I-SPIE Conference Planning Commitee and the RSFC. What do we want to report from the RSFC?
Any old or new business RSFC members want to discuss: If you have something, feel free to type it in here before the meeting. Or just bring the item to the meeting and we can make time for it.

2:00 | Lender Check-in Action | Mallory | Lender Check In Action - For people who do anti duplicate request a new request for second item can’t be made until book gets back to lender. Changing Lender Checkin action will complete request when book is returned at borrower, not lender. No dupe people can make a new request earlier. Changing this setting will also benefit ILLiad Borrowing NCIP people because there is no lender action to close request so if we change these will now be complete. Possibly help with expired holds as well because they would be complete and open to reactivation. 3 good things. Would there be a negative for analytics? If so maybe we fix the analytics query so that there are no negatives. |
2:15 | Confluence | Natalya | Karla and Natalya did a great start at updating and editing our Confluence space. Still a long way to go, but a definite improvement has been made already. Plan to move action items to a new page. Discussion moved into hats for RSFC members to wear and Mallory’s departure. |
2:45 | UC & Unity | Joe | Chancellors Office pays for Unity service between CSU and UCs. Discussion involved working out a game plan and negotiating positions for potentially getting all UCs on courier schedule as well as getting reciprocals between all CSUs and UCs. |
