Goals
Ex Libris Support Case Updates: Mallory has some updates
Release Testing: 1. Our feedback on Conditionals functionality was acted upon and supposedly addressed by a new release. We need to retest Conditionals and make a recommendation on using them or not. 2. We previously tested the “Reactivate Request” functionality. We kind of saw it as not very useful, but Astra needed to duplicate a request for SF State and Joe A told her about “Reactivate” and she used it and thought it was great. We should retest, document and make a recommendation to use this instead of duplicate. 3. Has there been any news on Request Rollback functionality? Any other new release tech that we should investigate?
ILLiad Items Display in Primo Account: Before break Darnesa and Joe A Slacked about this tech. Joe A thought maybe this would be a good solution for NCIP due date problem--just do ILLiad WebCirc and don’t use borrowing NCIP (or don’t check out in Alma). We can talk about this more in depth.
Random Regional Rotas: Joe A told Natalya about this idea some months ago and forgot about it, but Natalya really likes the idea so we will have more discussion.
Confluence re-org: Brandon reorganized all Confluence spaces. Lets talk about this and also moving forward with further modifications (place for I-SPIE TV links, etc).
Recap of any old business: If any old things have had action taken on them lets hear about it now.
Discussion topics
Time | Item | Presenter | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
2:00 | Ex Libris Case Updates | Mallory |

2:12 | Release testing | Joe & Mallory | Conditionals testing should be tested. Group is Joe G., Darnesa, Meghann, and Joe A. WE will organize an expedition and do both Conditionals and Reactivate Request testing. API ILLiad thing tested by San Marcos- it works really well. A lot simpler than the email export thing. |
2:20 | ILLiad items in Primo account | Joe | This may be a way to get away from NCIP ILLiad due date problem. Humboldt is going to set this up and Meghann will show us all about it later. |
2:30 | Random Regional Rotas | Joe and Natalya | There is a way to set up 2 rotas, each based on region and randomized. Basically there would be a North Rota which would be the first tier for all Northern California CSUs and a South Rota which would be the first tier for all Southern California libraries. This could improve turn around time. Natalya and Joe A will test this out. So will Joe G and Meghann. It will be continuously monitored. If results are good we take it to COLD. |
2:55 | Confluence redesign | Joe | Task force for Release Testing - put that on Confluence. Link to Unity Issue report can go in Links, etc. Put links back to ULMS Main page in our space, such as policies. |
3:10 | Recap of UC Reciprocal Idea | Natalya |
