Goals
Restarting CSU+ - There has been a discussion among COLD to restart CSU+ on July 1st (for those campuses that are ready). Let’s brainstorm and make a list of what needs done (or other concerns) before restarting can happen.
Courtesy Returns Best Practices - Fulfillment Committee gave feedback and Natalya updated the draft document. Let have a look and finalize. When do we want to send the info out?
Brandon’s Alma Issues Survey Update - Not a ton of news, but on Tuesday Joe A had a meeting with Brandon and some Ex Libris people about Ignore_Lender_Due_Date setting. Joe A will recap developments.
Any new or old business needing discussed?
June Release Testing and other Sandbox testing (if we have time)
Discussion topics
Time | Item | Presenter | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
10:00-10:10 | Courtesy Returns Best Practices document and email | @Natalya Magazino (Unlicensed) | Natalya recapped, with the FFC present, the Courtesy Returns document that RSFC sent to FFC and John Wenzler for their input. The intention is to turn it into an email of our recommendations for courtesy returns to send to CSU+ internal staff. Send the current Best Practices email soon (this week?) and send another follow-up email closer to re-start time which may include major updates, including extended due dates (beyond 8/31) for the currently-loaned material. |
10:10-11:00 | Restarting CSU+ | All | A) We will need more canvas bags if we’re going to be quarantining bags for nearly a week after arrival. It’s possible that Unity has extra bags we could use. Joe A. suggests Mallory can contact Unity to see if we can get those extra bags. B) How do we technically restart CSU+ in Alma? Joe or Natalya will need to go back into the NZ and make the libraries active again, so that each campus can activate locally, when ready. C) We should create a new spreadsheet for campus re-opening that includes when we each plan to re-open and when we will be staffed. D) Messaging to the public, especially for quarantining--they won’t get their book in 4 days anymore. How will the book get to the user (curbside, local pickup, direct mail, etc.)? Alter the CSU+ request link to show the new service expectations. E) Recommend a longer loan period to COLD, using this circumstance and the stats we gathered. (Renewals manual, Renewals automatic, 16-week loans, etc.) F) Possibly adding a Ship To field in the CSU+ request form, so patrons could have material mailed to them, i.e. Home Delivery - “enter your address in x field, if you chose Home Delivery.” And what other fields should go into this request form. G) How do we create the extra libraries that will be needed for the various pickup options? (We looked at the Resource Sharing Form Customization settings in ALMA.) Who will alter the Primo forms for each campus? Adding fields will almost certainly alter Clean Slips, so we’ll need some help (possibly from David Walker) there. |
11:01-11:07 | Brandon’s survey update | @Joseph Adkins (Unlicensed) | Joe had a meeting with Brandon, Ex Libris, etc. Regarding the Ignore_Lender_Due_Date, and learned that a meeting will be setup to order priorities for enhancements. |
