Language of cataloging policy proposed NZ cleanup

Israel

At the ULMS Summer meeting, Israel gave a brief presentation as a reminder and review of this policy. He reviewed three ways to identify problem records, and approaches to remove these records from the NZ, allowing campuses to resolve these records from within their IZ on their own timelines. Can we ask campuses to do this (just the unlinking problem records from the NZ, not the entire cleanup project) by a TBD deadline? The group feels that an October 15 deadline is reasonable.

Item material types

Carole has heard back from five campuses regarding suggestions for new proposed item record-level material types. She will present an update at the next TS Open Forum and ask that campuses please respond, even if they don’t have any

Alma Collections

Israel

There is a collection discovery problem in a shared (i.e. consortium) environment. If a campus creates a collection, the titles in the collection will show up in other CSUs' Primo instance, if they have collection discovery turned on in their view wizard (back office). If more campuses

While the CSU does not have a central pool of technical services staff to do something similar, we can still look to the report to generate ideas of how we can work more effectively as a consortium.
