Jamie thinks maybe the best course of action is to help Kevin and Kelly Ann compile interview data and figure out end game or next steps after that.
Kelly Ann: campuses seem very interested in what other libraries are doing while most don’t seem interested in collecting analytics. General philosophy that goes along with this idea is that a single use by a student makes buying the item worth it and also faculty don’t ask for data. However data can be used to lobby for more materials and increased CR budgets.
Maybe we could focus on course reserves in the next open forum - present some general findings from the interviews, SLO textbook buy-back program, Kelly Ann’s stats
