ItemNotes
Open Meeting
  • There was a successful Open Meeting last week and we received lots of positive feedback for Troy Compton (Unlicensed) training session on TOUs.
  • We have several new training sessions on the agenda for the next several Open Meetings.
  • Other training ideas for the future are:
    • Analytics, Visiting Patron, Widgets and Reserves.
Coordinating Committee
  • There was an update on the discussions at the Coordinating Committee meetings.
  • Christine Evans (Unlicensed) showed the Confluence page that was dedicated to the Coordinating Committee and showed everyone where to find notes, future projects, etc.
  • One of the most important items (for our group) was the fact that the Resource Sharing group was sending out messages to the ILL listserv so some of the Access Services people weren't getting updates
    • To fix this situation, the Resource Sharing group will send messages to the ULMS Access Services listserv as well as the ILL listserv.
Analytics Brainstorming
  • The group discussed ideas to give to the Analytics group for their training/documentation.
  • Christine Evans (Unlicensed) will start a google doc to keep track of all of the Analytics ideas.
  • The ideas that we came up with were:
    • Fines report
    • Making reports more readable/pretty
    • Basic usage statistics reports for physical items
Workflows Update
  • Members of the FFC each took responsibility for one or more workflows that the group previously identified.
  • The groups are then going to work together to develop workflows that can be used CSU wide.
    • These workflows will serve as guides for day to day operations that we encounter in Access Services.
Other Issues
  • Pick up anywhere for visiting patrons?
    • For example if a student at Fresno wanted to pick up a CSU+ book at LA, could that be done?
    • The group will work on testing this and looking at contacting the Resource Sharing group about the rules already in place.
  • There was a concern that student assistants will use Alma from home (or some place other than work) to renew their own material, etc.
    • There is a way to restrict the ability to log in per IP range.  This can be done in the settings and it was shown how to do this.
  • Team Drive
