  1. Proquest acquisition of Ex Libris -

    1. Primo should be implemented normally for the next few years

    2. Over long term there will be some merging of the products

    3. Summon and Primo Central index and the knowledge bases probably merged “sooner”

  2. Primo Implementation Timeline

    1. No sandbox, but there will be Primo with the Vanguards

    2. 3 Primo implementations, with a union catalog (scoped) - will need to confirm this Ex Libris

    3. In March there will be Primo sandboxes to work with

    4. Primo Central implemented in the next few months, with training before end of year

  3. Identifying Primo best practices
         a. Creating user stories to test -- Elizabeth will scan user stories templates from IL 2015
         b. Local scenarios

     4. These scenarios should inform:

                a. Consortial control/local control - best practices
               b. Making customizations and supporting that over time

  • Collect 2 use cases for each user type by 12/4:
