Consortial Configuration Rules

• Location field added for Advanced search

• eBooks split from print books in facets

• UW precedent for other splits -- it looks like the summary list of resource type needs to be comprehensively filled out. (David: carrier vs. format e.g. dvd vs. video).  Do we want to UX text splits with books (audio/print, etc.) vs ebooks -- UX Task Force (Chris Langer, head) will be discussing.

• Added link for SDSU circuit  -- ask if you need a custom link field

• Added fields for details display -- we’re going to share the “current PNX mapping” doc.

• October 14 -- identified, and assigned to individuals to draft text, inlc. Policies COLD will need to weigh in on

• Nov 11: policy drafts sent out for comment, feedback from working group

• Dec. 9 final policy drafts

• Some suggestions:

• Frequency/cycle of normalization changes

• Consultation procedure for normalization changes

• Who makes the normalization changes?

• Working groups for interface customization & integration w/other systems?

• Changes to search engine config reindexing?

• Unified system name policy? (Mike deMars)

• David -- look at Orbis policies for draft text starting point
