Changes to Primo Interface via Central Package -

David Walker

• Central package overrides OOTB version and local package can override central package.

  Phases:  Central package can fix problems that arose during the branding process:

  • Central package can change CSS, Javascript and icons

  • Color contrast issues: results sidebar, login dialog, record sidebar

  • Campuses will have to check the box to inherit central package.  David will be sending out an email to verify campus need.

  • Further updates from there -- both locally and centrally.

  • David will be trying out on Sandbox first, and will make all code available on Github

Discussing this with Technical Services group about best approach to harvesting.  Theses and dissertations can’t show up in OCLC if they are harvested directly through a pipe. Need to discuss how to select and dedup

Campuses all wanted to retain FRBR

Issues: Scores, representative record sometimes foreign language, ebook/print book confusion in the Get It/View It tab

Certain records based on their format type or call number can not be FRBRd

FRBR and members of the UX/Discovery will explore tests on known problems for which there is explicit guidance in the EL knowledgebase.
