| Abstract-only works Some of these items have files to upload, but still aren’t considered full-text items The icon in place of the document thumbnail indicates no full text available to download. Will this be clear to users? Managers will be able to check a box in the description section to indicate that it’s an abstract, in addition to the uploads section.
DOI Minting Discussion during the DR Annual Meeting, with some campuses interested in minting DOIs for repository items. CrossRef and DataCite are the two common tools, but neither is optimal. CrossRef is cheaper, but the workflows are better suited for batch DOI assignments for journal issues. It would be a complex process to integrate it into Hyrax. DataCite is more expensive, based out of Eurpoe which could cause privacy concerns, but it’s better designed for one-off DOIs. It has a simpler integration into Hyrax
Potential use cases for minted DOI: Would they be applied retroactively to existing works? Would they be applied to newly digitized (but older) works?
