10minTask Force Check-in

Norm Rules Task Force: Going through older requests that have not been completed. Currently working on making sure that subject headings are aligned with policies. Looking at 7xx fields. The results of that should be available at the next meeting. A reminder that the norm rule schedule is available online. By next meeting should be able to share more.

User Interface and Development Taskforce: Report a problem. The group is looking at a "text a call number" feature. This can be added to the send to menu. Most are using Alma GES, so you see the link for articles, but often not for the local collection. The group is also looking at optional features in the central package. Dave is going to look at all the campus OneSearchs to see if they are using the linkable genre field. We can now turn off tags in the BO, so we don't need to use CSS to hide them anymore. Changes coming by spring break. Dave will send out a spreadsheet where people can opt in or out of CP changes. Dave advises using code from central package for analytics.

Analytics Joint Task Force:  Continuing to look at Google Analytics. Visualization task force is also doing work.

Outreach and Instruction Task Force:

5minPolicy ReviewAny opposition to the removal of 1 and 3 of these policies
5minOdds and Ends
  • There is an EAR subcommittee that are looking at textbooks across the CSU. Collection development listserv is the place to join this conversation. Check out this LSU site. Here is a link to the GitHub page for a curriculum builder made by Ebsco.
