Goals for the YearMike DeMars (Unlicensed)

  • Work with analytics group as well as the folks from cataloging. Identify areas where additional training is needed. Leveraging the system to perform new functions (for disco folk this could be LMS integration). Continue to offer help with display issues. Improved documentation.

 10min Task Forces  

Two joint task forces, one for analytics and one for norm rules/cataloging. Usability task force (establish best practices for campuses). Outreach task force that could produce materials for campuses to help introduce the product and offer instructors with materials for teaching OneSearch.

User Interface and Development Taskforce: Mike, Ian, Jessie, Zacharry, Dave

Analytics Joint Task Force: Mike, Kenny, Ian, Zacharry, Jessie (analytics folk)

Norm Rules/Circulation Task Force: Dave, Ellen, Ian (circulation folk)

Outreach and Instruction Task Force: Ellen, Kenny, (local campus folk that would be interested) –Report names back by next meeting. Reach out to Theresa Slobuski.

We will stick with the Monday 11am time slot. Every two weeks, with the second meeting being open.  Task forces will be responsible for coming up with their own schedules.
10minUpdate on IGELU Meeting

Russia was awesome. Everyone should go. Next year’s meeting will be in Prague, so start thinking of ideas now! Some interesting stuff on FRBR. Primo VE looks awesome. Live API dashboard was cool.
