Project Management
Members of the CO team met with Ex Libris regarding the Satisfaction Survey. Ex Libris has engaged with us on many of the top issues covered in the Survey since the meeting and discussions should continue over the next several months.
Analytics
Working Group
The committee has been busy helping CSU folks who have questions about the ACRL/IPEDS reports. Those reports are not due until March 31, 2022 but most folks needed to give statistics to their administration a few months ago. Please reach out if you still need help with these reports in Shared Folders/Community/Reports/Institutions/CalState/ACRL IPEDS Official ULMS folder.
The NZ report CalState – 41. Digital/Electronic Databases had an error with the prompt reported by a few institutions. Jung Ah fixed this for everyone on March 2, 2022.
There are very few upcoming Analytics webinars or training from Ex Libris or other library groups. We keep an updated list on the wiki:

Overlap analysis discussion
The committee discussed the current overlap and collection analysis tool and looked at the differences that will happen with the tool in the March 2022 release (Sunday, March 6). The improvements look great from this 5-minute preview video: Alma March 2022 Release: New & Improved Overlap Analysis Tool
The new tool will allow us to compare IZ, CZ, and NZ holdings.
The committee will try out the new tool before the next meeting and report out to the CSU what we find out.
Also a reminder about the overlap analysis reports in the dashboard area:/Shared Folders/Alma/Titles/Reports has many overlap reports of different types, or you can see them all in a dashboard at: /Shared Folders/Alma/Titles/Dashboards/Title level overlap analysis.

We discussed more plans for a summer Analytics event based on the results of the December 2021 Analytics survey.

Resource Management
Working Group
An email was sent to the ULMS TS Mailing List regarding Local Fields that all CSU campuses are using. The purpose is to inquire which local fields campuses are using to determine if this will affect use of Primo VE Norm Rules. Local Fields updating is due to the RMFC Chair by Wednesday, March 30. Sixteen campuses have responded. The Local Fields page at Confluence will be updated all at one time when all the data has been compiled.
The NZ Management Group has completed the NZ Refresh. The Refresh began on Tuesday, January 18 and finished on Sunday, February 6. The Group imported a total of 5,450,211 records and did not import any WorldCat records that didn't have a match. OCLC had returned its review of the 2,300 marked archival records. NZ Management Group members will be contacting campuses' Cataloging Contacts to work out individual cleanups per campus.
While performing the NZ Refresh, the NZ Management Group discovered a few jobs which have been scheduled to run. One of them is the Update BLDSS Request job. The NZ Management Group inquired if this job could be turned off as the BLDSS stands for the British Library Document Supply Service which is meant to facilitate resource sharing between the CSUs and the British Library. ExL has disabled these jobs.
The RMFC approved a Request for Recommendation to continue work on SAC's approach to offense subject headings. This Request was sent to the Steering Committee's for review and accepted.
The Inclusive Description Task Force and Linked Data Task Force will each hold monthly meetings and report to the RMFC. Confluence pages for each Task Force forthcoming.
The next ULMS RMFC meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 1 PM.

Working Group
We're working with UC Davis to get a reciprocal agreement set up between the CSUs and UC Davis to add them to our courier route. We anticipate that they will join in the coming months. Other UC campuses may follow.
An automated reporting method is being worked on for sharing the courier problem report with the courier staff.
RSFC is continuing working with Rapido implementation and informing workflows regarding print slips.
RSFC team performed an audit on webpages to identify various updates to make in light of the impact of Rapido upon workflows. We will start making updates soon.
RSFC identified a need for some lost/overdue item clean up with many outstanding items unresolved. The RSFC is reviewing and editing the lost/overdue workflow documentation to improve readability so that the community can perform clean up relating to lost or overdue items. We are hoping to have all of our documentation improved to support staff performing lost/overdue clean up during the summer.
RSFC identified the need for the ILLiad task force to convene and review the ILLiad 9.2 release.
RSFC identified an opportunity for the SUNY/CSU task force to connect and review the trial, any analytics, and discuss how the SUNY partners will fit into the Rapido rota.

Discovery
Chancellor’s Office
Consulted with DSC leadership on accessibility and UI evaluation needs
Working Group
Audio/Video Resource Type
The topic of audio/video resource types versus specific format types was discussed, and the group recommended researching the topic further before querying the discovery community to confirm the scale of the issue.
Archival Material Resource Type
A mis-coded MARC leader value is causing OCLC master records to display as Archival Materials in Primo VE. OCLC identified the issue but could not resolve it programmatically because the scope of the records include both valid and invalid leader codes. In the end, all but a few dozen records have been fixed by OCLC. Brinna Pam Anan is working with campuses to resolve the remaining records.
Troubleshooting Availability Issues
In Primo VE, the availability indicator on brief result records may not match the same indicator on full records. Ex Libris recommends to either resolve the issue in metadata, or change display labels to more generic wordings. The DFC recommends campuses use their Report a Problem feature to investigate metadata anomalies as the preferred method for troubleshooting availability issues. The group does not recommend changing display labels because it will only hide underlying issues, and may result in ERM troubleshooting difficulties. This will be discussed at the next open forum. The DFC provided a recommendation for troubleshooting availability indicator issues; report all issues to your ERM staff to resolve within a record and setting in Alma. The DFC does not recommend changing display labels to resolve issues.
Wiki Website Redesign Survey
The DFC have received good constructive feedback on the new organization and content of the Discovery Wiki site. Survey results will be provided at the next open forum.
Other updates
Scholarworks changes may trickle down to OneSearch as time goes on; requiring adjustments to record displays. David will keep the group updated.
The group discussed the Angular JS support in Primo VE going forward. David made several changes to the central package during the Go Live process in anticipation for the coming updates.
The Rapido implementation will impact discovery record display. As more campuses begin implementing Rapido, the DFC will have a clearer idea of the necessary changes.
Orbis Cascade Alliance has requested several NERS enhancements be combined into a single item: "Requesting Flexibility in Primo VE Local Resource Type Configuration." Campuses should vote for this new enhancement in order to have more control over resource type faceting and searching.
It has been reported that incorrect electronic services are displaying on video resources, and Project Gutenberg services are displaying for non-books. It is being investigated.
The DFC is scheduling a demo of LibKey to determine the capabilities of the software. This may provide a more robust Quicklink-style functionality in Primo VE.
The Discovery wiki site will be updated by the end of March, reflecting the new design and taking into consideration feedback from the Discovery community.
Subject Browse searching is still broken. A case has been filed, but no timeline for resolution has been provided.
The group has begun discussing how to evaluate the accessibility of Primo VE. We are exploring both Ex Libris provided documentation and other institution assessments to determine the best course of action.
