In today’s update, you will hear about how awesome you are as well as Discovery and CSU+ updates!

 

* Project Status *

 

As of 5p today, every CSU library is live on Alma and Primo!

 

Due to your dedication, hard work and good cheer, we have arrived at the end of the Implementation Phase in amazing shape. There will be bumps and adjustments up ahead of us as we continue to learn about what our new system can and can’t do, but if these past 2+ years have shown me anything it’s that we are up for the experience. I hope that you have or will be able to take the opportunity to reflect on what you and your peers have built and *really* let yourself appreciate both the journey and the destination. Good times are up ahead, that you can be sure of!

 

Over the course of July, we will be finalizing this Implementation Phase and preparing for life as a production consortial system supported by Ex Libris’ technical support staff. We will be looking to identify and describe all issues resulting from the migration in SalesForce as a gross measure of our ability to move on from Dolph’s team, but I expect to receive more specific guidance from Dolph in the next few days and will of course pass along whatever I receive from Ex Libris on this important final implementation milestone for the ULMS project.

 

* Discovery update *

 

We’ll be running a complete re-normalization and re-index of records in Primo over the long 4th of July weekend in order to catch some record search and display issues. 

 

We’re planning to kick off that process late on Friday, June 30.  The whole process will likely take four or five days to complete.  During that time, Primo will not be able to accept updates from Alma.  So any new or updated records during that long weekend will only be reflected in Primo after the whole process completes.

In this session, we will be placing requests that will actually go through the courier system and to be completed later. (Step by step processing.)

 

Anyone is welcome to join the meeting but we will be focusing on group three.
