Discussion topics
Time | Item | Presenter | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
| OJS documentation/tool kit | Dana Ospina | |
| Mark Bilby | php script for bulk upload of metadata, tool available in GitHub | |
| PlumMetrics | Mark Bilby | Reached out to Elsevier to get PlumMetrics integration |
| ORCID integration | Mark Bilby | Credentials available to share, can push article records out to ORCID profiles |
| OAI-PMH registration | Mark Bilby | there is a registration process, work with CO for sushi-lite(?) can do through journals.calstate.edu level, also important for integrating with our discovery system |
| EJPress meeting | Mark Bilby | journal service provider, accept submissions, allows authors to suggest reviewers out of a pool…expedites the process, perhaps something to think about wrt ethics of this practice. CSUF will probably move to Scholastica |
| Scholastica meeting | Mark Bilby | Mark will send info |
| UC Press conversation | Mark Bilby | UC Presses having pieces of their journals done through Scholastica, per piece pricing.CSUF will move here for accepting submissions, perhaps for typesetting as well. $60-100 per article. Scholastica is also doing APC management, CSUF thinking about issues like cost recovery, APC waivers for anyone who doesn’t have inst. or grant support. Would help to avoid the invoicing part, $40-50 per APC collected through Scholastica. Scholastica is also looking at a way to link datasets. |
| CSU McNair’s journal project | Dana Ospina | Kyle and Ryan are both interested in participating |
| Scheduling future meetings | Dana Ospina | Monthly |
