Publishing program recommendations

What, and for whom, do campuses want to use for OJS

  • Unclear from demo app implementations

  • Talking to campuses for onboarding

  • examples for use cases will be helpful

  • Kevin will pass along questions/concerns to scholcomm

Undergrad history journal (wordpress to ojs) vs faculty journals

  • legacy journal issues are stored locally by Dana as archival docs

  • theming concerns – groups like wordpress-like themes, styling

    • limited resources for building themes

    • short term projects for theming/etc more doable

Online documentation

  • CO does WP hosting for copyright info

  • Can do so for hosting OJS documentation

    • campus contacts for publishing

  • CSU libraries site: libraries.calstate.edu

    • options for place/design to live

Workflow for test to prod?

Certain sites should for now go right into prod space if well established

Should have defined recs for whether to use test/prod space

Action items

Dana and Kevin will work on Documentation Site
