• Review metadata schemas devised by Metadata IG.

  • History

    • Used previous Thesis and Data Set schemas as starting point

    • Added publications

    • Goal was simple and ‘flat’, to aid:

      • migration

      • core data for new system

  • Lots of facets

  • Overall looks good

  • Keyword changed to dc.subject

• Provide any feedback or corrections and approve.

• Consideration of ideas for other models, from Andrew and Adriana (see below)

  • Should we explore other models?

• ScholarWorks should be separate from STIM and ScholCom

  • At least through implementation

• Perhaps group should be called “Digital Repositories” instead of ScholarWorks

  • Digital archives is separate from ScholarWorks

    • Digital archives still in incubator mode

    • Can we do both at the same time?

    • Prioritize ScholarWorks

• Dean role could be clarified, given sheer number of COLD standing committees

  • Will bring this issue back to COLD Exec on Friday
