The Scholarworks Planning and Advisory group is a working group to facilitate development of goals, documentation, and best practices for the CSU Institutional Repository system, ScholarWorks. This team is also responsible for scoping and migrating to a suite of repository services that will support CSU scholarly communication initiatives. This Advisory group will be a STIM Subcommittee with the following charge:

  • Continue supporting CSU’s Institutional Repository Platform while also planning for future innovation.

  • Stay current with ongoing developments and innovations for Institutional Repository platforms. Share this information with the CSU system.

  • Evaluate and recommend complimentary services and platforms (eg. Open Journal Systems (OJS), Open Conference Systems (OCS) and Open Monograph Systems (OMS), and Scalar) that support CSU scholarly communication objectives and fit well into the ScholarWorks support structure.

  • Evaluate  and recommend a  persistent digital identifier system (such as ORCID) for faculty members within the CSU system.

  • Provide proposals and recommendations for STIM Committee to review and submit to COLD as needed.

  • The advisory group will meet monthly, while focused working groups may meet more often as needed.
