Charge 2018
The Scholarworks Planning and Advisory group is a working group to facilitate development of goals, documentation, and best practices for the CSU Institutional Repository system, ScholarWorks. This team is also responsible for scoping and migrating to a suite of repository services that will support CSU scholarly communication initiatives.
This Advisory group will be a STIM Subcommittee with the following charge:
- Continue supporting CSU’s Institutional Repository Platform while also planning for future innovation.
- Stay current with ongoing developments and innovations for Institutional Repository platforms. Share this information with the CSU system.
- Evaluate and recommend complimentary services and platforms that support CSU scholarly communication objectives and fit well into the ScholarWorks support structure.
- Evaluate and recommend a persistent digital identifier system for faculty members within the CSU system.
- Provide proposals and recommendations for STIM Committee to review and submit to COLD as needed.
- The advisory group will meet monthly, while focused working groups may meet more often as needed.
The Advisory group will be chaired by the CSU Digital Repository Services Manager. Its membership will be made up of the ScholarWorks Interest Group Chairs, a representative from the [new] COLD Scholarly Communications Subcommittee, as well as representatives from CSU campuses. The current Scholarworks Interest Groups are:
- Publishing (Aug 2017 - 2019 chair: Dana Ospina, CSU DH)
- Faculty Profiles (Aug 2017 - 2019 chair: Carmen Mitchell, CSUSM)
- Metadata/Linked data (Aug 2017 - 2019 chair: Lauren Magnuson, CSUSM)
- Digital Archives/ContentDM (Aug 2017 - 2019 chair: Tanya Hollis, CSU SF)
