RapidILL and Israel | RapidILL Israel Initiative Directed by Dr. Lynne Porat, chair of the MELI (Ex Libris Users Group-Israel) steering committee, the RapidILL service is now available to college libraries and hospitals in Israel that aren’t RapidILL customers at present. RapidILL libraries may choose to become lenders to these libraries on an opt-in basis. As of last Friday, 112 libraries (mostly from the US, but also from the UK, Australia/NZ, and Europe) have agreed to participate in this initiative and nine small colleges in Israel have signed up to receive this service. Ex Libris created a private pod which only includes the libraries that expressed an interest in participating. An email was sent out through the RapidILL listserv, but this initiative is under the organization of MELI. If you have any questions and/or your library would like to participate in the service, please contact: porat@univ.haifa.ac.il
