• Quick Access to RapidILL Requests

Enables (back-end) users to easily and quickly access RapidILL requests in the system by introducing new tasks showing unassigned resource sharing requests 

• Push User Records to ILLiad

Alma can now use ILLiad APIs to push user records to ILLiad (a resource sharing management system). The push will only occur if this is configured by the library and the user does not already exist in ILLiad. Before pushing a request to ILLiad, Alma will verify that the account exists and create a user account if not.

-can potentially create multiple ILL requests

-Must be connected by user ID number not the user name

• Resource Sharing Directory - To add your institution to the Resource Sharing Directory, please contact Ex Libris if you would like to join a pod.

The Resource Sharing Directory is a global Community Zone based repository with up-to-date information about resource sharing libraries in Alma. Libraries can use this directory in order to create a resource sharing partner record and locate profile based on information that has  been contributed to the repository by the peer library itself. This greatly simplifies the process of creating resource  sharing partners, and reduces the chance of errors that  result in no communication between borrower and lender. Pulling a partner record from the community is described in Resource Sharing Partners.

• Data Visualization Reports

An exciting new tool Data Visualization (DV) was added as part of Alma Analytics’ move to the newer Oracle Analytics Server (OAS). It can be easily accessed for users with the Analytics designer role from the Analytics menu.

• Investigate Printing Improvements

  • Update/ revisiting Clean Slips printing procedures

    • revisiting any of formatting

    • Printing Updates in Alma

    • Updating Cleanslips may not be a sustainable option

    • Explore alternative options for printing
