1.       Review of action items/questions from last week
 

a.       Example of order with extended pay history for an electronic resource subscription.  The question was "how much of the paid history should be migrated..."

 

EXL: Pay history is migrated into a note in the POL. This migrates as a text string, so it's not going to help statistical reporting. Will be useful as a historical reference point. Might want to think about doing some clean-up and only retaining the audit requirement (7 yrs?). 
 

b.    Community  users at San Jose will be able to sign-in to Primo but NOT be allowed to access restricted electronic content. In other words, only a subset of My Account features in Primo (check library account, save searches, place requests?) will be allowed.

 

EXL: Solution would be to define specific user groups that will have access to certain functionality. Primo can be configured to restrict via user groups. Community Users on campus will have full access to restricted content based on IP. Restricted search scopes can also be used to manage things more granularly. San Jose confirms this solution makes sense.  Also possible to use ezproxy to manage restrictions. 
 

2.       New questions to be reviewed - separate doc attached (also note: Action: With respect to the bookplates question, Fresno to send us a sample screenshots of what this looks like so we can check. Also describe expected behavior from user-side)
 

3.       Fulfillment checkpoint review

o    Question from Access Services: Can you confirm that you don't have to click enter after scanning a barcode both patron and item? Ans: depends on the barcode scanner -- it has to have a carriage return within the barcode scanner configuration

o    How will circ parameters set up in the vanguard load? Ans: this will be set-up in the configuration form where you set-up the TOUs for your fulfillment units.

o    Does each campus need to do this individually for the vanguard load? Ans: Yes each vanguard institution will fill in and submit a configuration form for their institution. A copy of the Alma configuration form is attached for your reference (sample-only).
