Metadata Collective/SWAT w/Digital Archives IG |
| Metadata Collective/SWAT group to complete draft recommendations for datasets, newspapers, and publications, and to review the thesis recommendation. I'm hoping that a small team, perhaps 1-3 folks from each IG, would be available to meet in 2-3 sessions in the next few weeks to finalize the recommendations. If possible, I would also like to be able to pass these along to the Metadata IG at large once our work is complete for review and suggestions. I'm looking forward to not only using the recommendations for our ongoing development (super important!) but also to be able to highlight for COLD some of the potential challenges/opportunities in moving to a centralized IR/Digital Archives platform.

| Examples of controlled vocab file (note dev-metadata branch): https://github.com/csuscholarworks/bravado/tree/dev-metadata/config/authorities Could our IG help with developing these? Who would feel comfortable working on something like this to build out controlled vocabs for departments, degree programs, etc.? |
