| Pilot Implementation + Metadata Considerations | @Kevin Cloud (Unlicensed) Elyse Fox | Pilot planning and work underway UI group has worked on display, labeling, facets Metadata work is being done as the pilot is being worked on New governance structure is still TBD - more info after next COLD meeting / formal recommendation accepted at COLD Will be nomination process for new IG chairs (similar to ULMS process) ScholarWorks Implementation Team focus is on migrating the IR (i.e., DSpace migration) Wendy (DH) and Elyse have been working through the pilot implementation tasks and reviewing metadata in prep for migration - Kevin shared updated data modeling sheet - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1GH5ulJJavsNjdsZcae5Y7t9EOb2_nyarJj9C11nl4Vk/edit#gid=0 - will be working on reviewing this as they work on testing their pilot, and over the next few weeks will share notes with the rest of the IG members for review/comment ACTION ITEM: In early June, IG members will review data model notes from Elyse & Wendy - will need to have feedback by June 13th (when next pilot group begins) End goal is a data dictionary for everyone to use Pilot will have controlled vocabularies for subjects (FAST) and Language Looking into data validation for metadata QC In data model, note fields that are facetable and searchable - this can be changed; there are also some Hyrax changes coming down regarding title (right now a multi-value field but will be changing to have a single value dc.title field with built-in alternative title fields).
