Exporting loans from Millennium/Sierra
When you export your Loans extract from Millennium/Sierra, there isn't an indication in the exported patron record number field that the item is checked out to an INN-Reach patron.  This is what a line in your loans extract might look like, even though the item i24347644 is truly checked out to the LINK+ patron ''p10286795@9occi" at the time that this data was exported from Millennium.Â
"RECORD #(ITEM)","OUT DATE","RECORD #(PATRON)","DUE DATE","# OVERDUE","ODUE DATE","# RENEWALS","RECAL DATE" "i24347644","04-04-2016 16:29","p10286795","06-03-2016","0"," - - ","0"," - - "
Note that only a local patron record number is reflected in the RECORD #(PATRON) column. The above export causes a problem when the remote patron record number matches an existing patron record number on your system. During the migration to Alma, Ex Libris will find a match for this patron record, and make it so that the item goes on loan for the local patron with the system record number 'p10286795'. In order to prevent this from happening, you should exclude all LINK+/Circuit loans from your loans data export from Millennium/Sierra.Â
You can do this by using the following Create Lists criteria in order to omit items that are on loan via INN-Reach when you export your loans CSV file from Millennium/Sierra.Â
Item DUE DATE > " - - " AND STATUS not equal to '@'
The item status will still migrate as a note to Alma, but you won't see erroneous loans created based on matches between the local patron record number and remote patron record numbers. Â
