An overview of the recent changes that Sacramento made to the general Notes field norm rule. The spreadsheet includes all the MARC 5XX fields that were included in the PBO Notes display field. Sacramento removed those highlighted in red. The norm rules group would like to follow this model. @Israel Yanez (Unlicensed) is asking for input on whether any campus has concerns about removing the fields highglighted in red. The norm rules group will distribute this local field/norm rule out from the NZ to the IZs on around August 20th. Campuses can implement the local field as inherited, or request a customization from the norm rules group (e.g. reinstating one of the removed MARCD 5XX fields). |
