About us

Vision & Mission DRAFT

The Scholarworks Planning and Advisory group is designed as a working group in order to facilitate development of goals and best practices as we move into the next phase(s) of the projects offered through ScholarWorks. The STIM IR Subcommittee report was published 3 years ago, since then we’ve worked hard to bring all hosted DSpace instances under a single platform and maintain a high level of availability and improvement. At the same time, while DSpace versions continue to advance, the open source IR offerings have greatly improved. This advisory group will review all available options with respect to the needs and goals of the CSU IR as a whole in order to recommend, test and deploy the next generation of the Scholarworks IR platform. In addition to traditional repository platforms, additional projects are becoming more necessary, such as Open Journal Systems (OJS), Open Conference Systems (OCS) and Open Monograph Systems (OMS) which fit well into the ScholarWorks support structure.
