Title for Boundwith Host Records
Background
Resource Management received a request to consider improving the display of records for boundwiths to assist Fulfillment units. Currently the title of the host record for boundwiths, “Host bibliographic records for boundwith item barcode ****,” is the default title displayed in patron records when users check out a boundwith volume. There is no indication of the specific title within the boundwith. In the absence of an ideal solution, the recommendation below attempts to make the title of the host record for boundwiths clearer.
Best Practice Recommendation
Replace current title “Host bibliographic records for boundwith item barcode ****” with “Multiple titles bound as a single volume with the barcode ****:
