Description

ERM TF is working with the Catalog Task Force, the Acquisitions Task Force and the Technical Services Leads on finalizing the single purchase e-books. There are several ways a single e-book can be purchased and it depends on the services that the library subscribes to, such as Gobi. Another option is to use the CZ to activate the portfolio and start the acquisition process that way. The ERM TF and ACQ TF are meeting with the CAT TF on April 3rd to finalize the policy. 4/7/17: the e-book policy for single e-books was shared during the Tech Services Open Forum and libraries have 10 days to offer opinions, suggestions or reservations about the policy. After that, the policy will be in place. It will be revisited after going live to see if there are changes and more efficient workflows the CSU can employ.

Model 3 ERM/ACQ procedures: ERM TF is working with the ACQ TF to finalize the library section of Model 3 Opt-in resources. The libraries will need to order the opt-in resource from the NZ but need to know when that resource is available to order. Also, there are certain steps libraries will need to follow when ordering from the NZ.

Also there are procedures for sharing resources that are part of the ECC/Opt-in but the library did not go through SDLC to negotiate for that resource. The resource can still be shared in the NZ but acquisitions processes will be maintained by the library in the IZ.

Determine whether or not Access Providers need to be included in the NZ Vendor records.

SFX Spreadsheet can be used to track changes that need to be made in SFX after the freeze. Information tracked can be used to make changes to the portfolios in Alma.

New page on the wiki was created for the ProQuest databases that are being migrated to new collections. The old and new collection names are listed. The new collections will need to be set up in Alma post-migration. SDLC will work with ProQuest to migrate the libraries over to the new collections July 1, 2017.
