Charge
To evaluate current Alma functionality and make recommendations for a consortium approach to performing authority control in the new shared environment. The Task Force is responsible for assessing authority control functionality in Alma and identifying options and gaps in order to make recommendations of possible efficient processes related to authority control work. The Task Force will provide a report summary, including recommendations for authority control work. The Task Force is also required to provide progress reports to the Technical Services Working Group.
Goals
- To survey current campus authority control practices;
- To assess Alma functionality in support of authority control work;
- To investigate options for authority control work in a consortium environment;
- To provide a final report summary and recommendations to the ULMS TS Leads.
