Discussion of current Alma-ILLiad workflow

Ian Chan reports that San Marcos will be integrating ILLiad into their Alma workflow using NCIP in the Summer of 2016. 

Christian Ward of Sacramento has successfully integrated the available Alma plugin into their Alma instance. Testing was performed and implemented in their production environment.

The plugin doesn’t work right out of the box and will require some tweeking in order to make it CSU ready. 

Christian to share notes from previous experience.

1. A step-by-step instructional guide for the plug-in,that includes a standardized configuration for all CSU’s. 

2. A survey was proposed that includes gathering such information as how each campus is hosting ILLiad, who are the points of contact, and how to patrons sign on to ILLiad now. Since the Authentication Task Force is seeking similar information for their project it may be beneficial to merge those questions into one survey to cut down on redundant task for each campus. 

How to handle the clean-up of brief bibs in Alma that are a result of an ILL request.

Future meetings will be held on the third Wednesday of each month at 9am.

Also Ian Chan (Unlicensed) suggested joint meetings with the Access Services Systems Group may be beneficial.
