Title/portfolio matching -

Any changes since new ERM work? What’s up with the not-so-secret parameter?
ERM is trying to address this by creating local collections - Nikki will look back to us for us to come up with something
discovery_customer_defined_exact_match_field
CW: hopefully this applies to uresolver directly

CL: Here is what I saved from three different searches. It seems the leading article matters. Our same title got different score therefore different position in the result. The 3rd one was almost impossible to find the book before.

An example search is Chronicle of Higher Education, with or without the article makes a difference although in this case the journal is still at the top several results.

CW: I have a similar experience with adding articles. “New York Times” and “The New York Times” seem to produce different results, and I have seen this with other titles as well. While “the” should be a stop word, the position of it may matter.

A question about the super secret setting: what its would this resolve?

CW: Microservices with SpringBoot and Spring cloud : Build resilient and scalable microservices using Spring Cloud, Istio, and Kubernetes

Curious enough, we get zero results when searching for this title in Primo VE, but if you make SpringBoot two words (Spring Boot) the title appears as the first result. The rest of the title matches exactly, so I am at a loss as to why a single word off in the title would not produce results

CL: not a question about it being a stop word, but actually about the “exact” title boosting. Maybe the ranking does not recognize stop words.
JS: is this a search string issue “normalization” Issue?

CW: is there a “did you mean” index that we can control?
JS: MARC display vs. pnx display vs. what’s actually in the index

Secondary resource types

Update: uncertain about indexing at local vs. network
Will experiment next week
CL: Is microfilm a Secondary resource? Can we deboost microfilm??

May releases

Primo exclude resource types - no one’s looked yet

JS: Amazon import plugin going into Network Zone - check import profiles and fix

Personal identity card from linked data - we need to test and see editing options

 Action items

Email TS forum and ask if people can share their experience with changing view settings and why you changed them?
Look into which check boxes are on in the view for each campus
Jill to put in ticket to ask about Comic/Graphic novel primary vs. secondary resource type display
