User from Fullerton - creates Borrowing request from Primo

User account in Primo
Borrowing request created in user institution
Temporary inventory create with system generated barcode.
Lending library – San Jose – pick from shelf list
When borrowing request created system is running locate process to identify potential partners
Available resource found at partner database – lending request created;
if system configured automatically create move request – move request created on an item and item appear in pick from shelf
Lending library – San Jose – scan in item at circulation desk
Item automatically moved to temporary lending location
Request status changed to shipped physically
Borrowing institution – Fullerton
User sees request status update
When item arrives operator receives it at the circulation desk – using Receiving bench by external identifier or Receive from borrowing request task list by 30800004201171
Temp item barcode – can be same as lender institution, if no duplicates.
It can be generated based on external request id
generate_resource_sharing_temp_barcode | Whether the resource sharing library can use an automatically generated temporary barcode to receive and circulate a borrowed item. The barcode is based on the resource sharing request’s external identifier (see the External identifier field in the Request Attribute Field table in Creating a Borrowing Request). |
It can be inserted manually depending on libraries workflows.
Slip sent by lending institution
Item placed on hold shelf and user notified
User comes to the circ desk and loan the item
User returns item
Request automatically set to item returned to partner status.
When partner receives item back – request considered completed and closed
Place request on item or reject request on San Jose side to get ILLiad as last partner
