  • check field suggestions - if you disagree with a proposed crosswalk or field removal, comment in the DSpace crosswalk spreadsheet 

  • review and merge date fields where they have duplicative info

  • note any unique fields that you want to retain separate from the proposed field (e.g. you want to retain date metadata that isn't 'Date Created')

  • add/normalize Format field for faceting in Samvera (Format, Type, Genre, and Medium fields are often used interchangably, fyi)

  • Keep in mind that the Metadata Application Profile (MAP) is still a work in progress.  Here are the current proposed additions:
