Background

"The following is a list of suggested members for the Resource Sharing governance Task Force that will define and lead resource sharing decision-making from now through one year following ULMS migration. The composition of this group was discussed with each member of the I-SPIE steering committee. The group was designed to provide geographic, size, and “type” representation, to provide a liaison to Access and to COLD, and to populate this critical first group with members who have proven track records in timely resource-sharing decision-making.
· Dawnelle Ricciardi (Sonoma)

· Lina Carro (Humboldt)

· Julie Kowalewski-Ward (San Jose) liaison to Access

· Gretchen Higginbottom (Fresno)

· Christopher Lee (San Luis Obispo)

· Stacy Caron (Fullerton)

· Jesica Brubaker (San Diego)

· Karen Schneider, Dean of Sonoma State, COLD Liaison

N.b. Karen will suggest giving this group staggered terms and a plan for bringing on new members, as well as an identified lead.

The charge is:

The Governance Task force will recommend a system of governance for sharing materials and supplying services, and for standardizing and formalizing policies, procedures, and service levels, and mechanisms for recommending changes to shared policies, to enable CSU libraries to operate as a system while supporting and representing individual members.
