Continue to update the post-migration Task and Check lists.

Discussed the joint CAT/ERM single e-book and e-journal subscription documentation.

Had an ERM Task Force list serv set up so ERM folks in technical services can ask us questions.

Description

Have more complete information about Google Scholar exports and configuration for the post-Migration Task and Check lists. Part of the work will be done by ExL and the last part of the configuration will be done by the library. ExL will send instructions on what steps the library will need to take.

The Catalog Task Force discussed the information sent from the ERM Task Force on single e-book and e-journal subscriptions. The policy is recommending that single e-journals should be ordered and activated in the CZ. Still working on workflow for e-books. Discussing the future of e-book activation because how it is ordered affects acquisition decisions and future analytics (who in CSU bought certain e-books and should SDLC take a look).

Discuss the e-book recommendations document. Still need to determine a couple of e-book packages should be active in the NZ and linked to the CZ or use vendor records and create a local collection to be maintained by libraries. Loading vendor records was discussed in the Open Forum on  see who has loaded them and what their experience was. CAT TF and ERM TF will work together on a policy and procedures for loading vendor records for e-books. ERM TF is still investigating e-books, using the e-collections in the CZ and seeing if the records are enhanced and if not, asking ExL to enhance them. Other option is to have a library load the vendor records and maintain the local collection. Determining which option is the best and how discoverable they are in Primo.

ERM Task Force is recommending that MARCIVE records be migrated from the ILS. Recommendation appears in the ERM P2E e-resources document. CAT TF is also discussing future of MARCIVE records.

ERM TF list serv created to help answer question or troubleshoot ERM. Allows a venue for tech services folks to ask questions about electronic resources or about the three models of ERM/ACQ.

Action Items

Make decision on whether or not to recommend using the EBSCO API for the link resolver. Recommendation will be added to post-migration Check and Task lists.

Continue work on e-book recommendations-final copy due

Continue discussion with CAT TF about single purchase e-books and e-journals.
