The Metadata Working Group is in the process of finalizing the Data Dictionary: reviewing for compliance with Hyrax work forms, resolving outstanding comments, creating a Master Data Modeling document, in addition to posting a user-friendly Data Dictionary on ScholarWorks.
Timeline for completion: March 2020
MWG Tasks:
- Transpose fields from google doc draft into the new Master Data Modeling spreadsheet
- Review remaining comments in Data Dictionary draft, and ensure they've been resolved, or add them to the Trello board to review at our next meeting
- Review the Hyrax work forms to ensure that all fields present in Hyrax are reflected in the data modeling spreadsheet
- Review Metadata field definitions for clarity (and make recommendations if definitions should be made visible)
- Finalize formatting for Extent (i.e., MARC formatting?)
- Review, publish, and distribute Metadata Dictionary
