Scholastica Presentation at 11:15am | Erin from Scholastica (ealonso@scholasticahq.com) | “Empower journal providers” - a platform, which is modular for three products: Peer Review Typesetting Open Journal Accessing
Q&As: Print modes? - just send the digital PDF, and then there would be a separate send to the printers, if that’s what you wanted. $10/submission - authors create an account, and it’s by the author’s submission. Customizable metadata? - not yet. (Local campus related, additional files, potentially would be necessary. Department can be asked for, but must be asked.) Set up of submissions for example, would be set up by tech folks? Or personal 1:1s. - chores, some will be in settings. Faculty journal, for peer review options with integration with OJS? - not seamless right now. What kind of materials? Law reviews? - 600/1100 are law reviews. (Law libraries are well funded, so each submission was covered. Standard.)
(A model for 3rd party vendor for publishing ideas? Solution is APCs for authors, usually because of the costs.)
