Campuses with RFID (based on Implementation Survey responses):
- Monterey Bay (Tech Logic)
- Fresno (3M)
- Channel Islands (Tech Logic)
- Note: San Jose Public Library will be implementing RFID within 18 months; some SJSU items may be tagged.
Ex Libris / 3M RFID Integration
Exlibris has recently updated the page below to include the latest information about 3M RFID integration in Alma.

It is recommended that you place nginx at the root of C: when working on a Windows Machine. The service can be started and stopped using the following commands:
nginx -s stop | fast shutdown |
nginx -s quit | graceful shutdown |
nginx -s reload | changing configuration, starting new worker processes with a new configuration, graceful shutdown of old worker processes |
nginx -s reopen | re-opening log files |
Why are we doing this?
- To ensure that RFID materials can be read by the system, and their status can be changed (checked in / checked out).
- To ensure that the security gates do not alarm for items that are checked out, and do alarm when items that are not checked out.
Goals
- Successfully implement RFID integration in Alma
